Formerly based in Los Angeles, The Hurricane Kitchen “landed” on the Central Coast in March, 2016. A chef-driven food truck and catering service, we use locally sourced, sustainable ingredients to create bold flavors and unique menus; we offer items that many folks wouldn’t expect to find on a food truck. Chef Richard Verhagen’s broad culinary background includes over a decade as chef and restaurateur in the Pacific Northwest, where fresh, sustainable seafood (oysters in particular) became one of his many passions. The Hurricane Kitchen can now be found at wineries, craft breweries, festivals and other events up and down the SLO Coast.
